American Chess Equipment is proud to announce the 2021 North American Youth Chess Championships in Chicago, Il.
This great tournament is put on by the Renaissance Knights Chess Foundation in association with US Chess, FIDE, and a couple of other organizations. This is open to all players under the age of 18 from the USA, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
Remember, this is a 9 round tournament. There will be FIDE titles and norms available! It will be rate by both FIDE and US Chess.
This last year has been a trying time for all of us. With no OTB chess, we have been forced to double down on our studying and play online. It will be nice to sit across the board from someone and match wits again.
Get out of the house and support these major national tournaments again! Give you kids the chance at the spotlight they deserve! We need to get back to a “normal” life again and one of the best ways to get your kids back into the groove is to take them to a tournament like this!
And remember that Chicago is one of the most storied cities in all of America and steeped in history! You can turn this tournament trip into a great history lesson and hit some of the famous hotspots along the way. When is the last time you had a true deep-dish pizza over at Lou Malnotti’s or a Chicago style hot dog? Treat yourself and your family to a great time at this tournament!
