SURPRISED THAT THIS FABULOUS SET HAS NOT BEEN RATED YET!!! Most of The Local Mickey D's CHESS Club Players use these FABULOUS Pieces Mostly because ….THEY ARE CHEAP, THEY ARE BIG, THEY ARE "Barely" PLAYABLE, on a Standard Board, (a 2.40 inch squared board according to Official U.S. CHESS Rules!) and they also LOOK LIKE A MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE SET! I've Owned One, two, or even THREE of these sets for years! I ALWAYS HAVE AT LEAST ONE! I love to play with The ULTIMATE Set & BOBBY FISCHER BOARD in my CHESS Bag! However every so often I pull out another set and just for FUN ATTACK!! Some Players are influenced by such Giant Pieces coming at them!!! This set is very Ominous on a Standard Sized Board! If you are a Fan of "COFFEE CHESS", most of the games look like they are being played with this set or its slightly smaller cousin. https://youtu.be/xvOuGae0l58 I love The STANDARD BOARD, but those MIKEY D's Guys have gone so far as to find a 2 3/8 inch squared MOUSEPAD board! Those battles should be shown on "COFFEE CHESS"! Pieces are FLYING, "Thumped" or SLAMMED when a GOOD Move is being made. While NO PIECES ARE IMMUNE to this type of ROUGH PLAY, these HOLD-UP Rather WELL Though!! I would recommend this set for someone who wants a CHEAP, NICE LOOKING, STANDARD SET! (Maybe Even IF You Want To "Influence" your Opponent, JUST A BIT, Before You Even Start Playing Too!!)
